ACHIEVEMENTS

Achievements Summary - In six years DCSF has fund raised and spent over $192,000! and has purchased the following:
  • Text books - COMPLETE text book curriculum for all core knowledge areas to bring the school up to date as a text book based academic institution.
  • Technology - Following a technology vision statement co-developed between Dennison and DCSF.
  • Audio systems have been purchased for ALL 26 instructional classrooms as well as the LMC, Lunch room, Art and Music rooms.
  • SmartBoards have been purchased for ALL 26 instructional classrooms as well as the LMC.
  • Library - over $??? of library books to accelerate the replacement of lovingly worn out books.
2010-2011 -

2009/2010 - Raised $23,000 to date: 

  • Purchased 15 Smart boards! Fund raising to cover expenses!
2007/2008 - Raised and spent $45,600: 
  • purchased 19 wireless audio systems to amplify teacher’s instruction to the class; 
  • purchased $1,500 of books for the school library; 
  • Purchased 12 Smart boards at a cost of $40,500
2006/2007 - Raised and spent $42,000:  
  • Purchased a replacement social studies curriculum for Grades 4 - 6, with instructor manuals; 
  • Purchased ten wireless audio systems to amplify teacher’s instruction to the class; 
  • Purchased $1,500 of books for the school library
2005/2006 - Raised and spent $43,000:  
  • Purchased a replacement science curriculum for Grades 2 - 6, with instructor manuals; 
  • Purchased eight wireless audio systems to amplify teacher’s instruction to the class; 
  • Purchased $1,500 of books for the school library; 
  • Purchased $1,500 of books for fourth grade Japanese module; Read Naturally curriculum for the Educational Intervention team
 2004/2005 - Raised and spent $39,000:  
  • Purchased a replacement language arts curriculum for Grades 2 - 6, with instructor manuals; 
  • Purchased $1,000 of books for the school library; 
  • Supplemented school budget by $5,000 ? to allow more hours for both educational specialists/coaches and IT support staff
2003/2004 - Raised and spent $25,000:  
  • Purchased a replacement mathematics curriculum for ALL students, with instructor manuals
